After connecting on your vision, we’ll provide a detailed proposal outlining the project scope and pricing range.
Nysa Creative requires a non-refundable design fee, which covers the creation of your custom mural concept—ideation, sketches, and original design work.
Because each design varies in complexity and may require different materials, installation fees are provided when concepts are presented. This ensures clarity and flexibility upfront, so you know what to expect and can select the design that best fits your space and budget.
There are four main factors that impact the cost of a commissioned mural:
- Size. A bigger mural costs more money.
- Complexity. A simple happy face vs. the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
- Materials. A bigger mural needs more materials. A mural on interior drywall needs different materials than one on outdoor concrete.
- Access. A mural on the wall behind the receptionist is easy to access. A mural on the side of a building may require scaffolding or a lift.
For planning purposes, assume a total cost of $25-45 per square foot. Of course, you can drive that number higher with challenging locations, more complexity, or exotic materials.
Below are two sample projects to provide further insight into how much your project may cost:
SAMPLE 1 | $6,750 | An indoor mural on drywall, simple design, 23' 7" wide x 13' 10" tall, minor wall obstacles (AC units and shelving), comes out to $26 per square foot
SAMPLE 2 | $16,600 | An outdoor mural on deeply grouted brick, simple design, 44' wide x 10' tall, comes out to $38 per square foot
