Radical Surrender
A collection of eleven original paintings on raw canvas that explores surrender as both a creative practice and a way of moving through the world. Created through an intuitive process of layering, editing, and allowing each painting to unfold in its own time, the work embraces uncertainty, trusting that what emerges can be more meaningful than what was planned.
The collection exists in a quiet tension between freedom and structure. At the center of each painting, poured color moves intuitively across the raw canvas—unrestrained, expressive, and impossible to fully control. Along the edges, exposed canvas is joined with hand-stitched seams that create crisp lines and deliberate boundaries. Together, these opposing elements reflect the balance between letting go and holding on, instinct and intention, chaos and care. Trust.
Hand-stitched thread becomes an extension of the painted surface, adding texture, movement, and evidence of the artist's hand. Every brushstroke, pour, and stitch was completed by hand, allowing each work to carry the marks of its own becoming.
Rather than seeking perfection or certainty, Radical Surrender invites viewers to consider what becomes possible when we loosen our grip, trust the process, and allow beauty to emerge on its own terms.
